Fundamental Skills in MRI Part 1 and 2

This hybrid course combines 2 x single day live interactive study days (part 1 and 2) together with supporting e-learning.

£ 295 + VAT

This hybrid course combines 2 x single day live interactive courses (see dates below) together with access to supplementary course content via our e-learning tool.
E-learning can be completed at the delegates’ own pace and will be available between the first and second study days.
Clinical scenario based learning supports application of theory to clinical practice, improving fundamental clinical skills in MRI.
We integrate the use of an MRI Simulator within the course to assist delegate understanding of line and plane positioning, parameter selection and manipulation and impact on image quality/scan time.

Delivery by Radiographers and other medical imaging professionals, the live interactive study days will feature polling, discussion and breakout areas*

Course access will require a PC/Mac or tablet (iPad or Android). Integral webcam and microphone is preferable although mobile dial in audio is supported (please contact us with any queries)

Part 1
• Core relevant physical principles
• Equipment Technology
• Safety and Implants
• Protocol and parameter selection + workshops
• Optimise scan technique based on image appearances
• Image quality measures

Part 2
• Imaging technique hints and tips
• Patient preparation and appropriate use of MRI contrast
• Benefits of sequence types and image weighting
• Basic MSK Anatomy, Basic Neuro Anatomy
• Common pathologies: What to look for and impact on imaging practice
• Understand reporter requirements and identify key cases for priority reporting

Live interactive online study days are :
Part 1: 16 October 2024
Part 2: 19 November 2024
