Members $72, Non-members $92
Material fee: $10 covers fusible interfacing and a zipper for one pouch. If you want to sew more than one pouch you may purchase additional materials from the instructor, including a selection of commercial fabric scraps suitable for lining. Payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
Registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon) on Tuesday, April 9th
Registration deadline: Wednesday, May 22nd
Cancellation deadline: Thursday, May 10th

Description
In this one-day class students will learn some basic tips and tricks of sewing with handwoven fabric! They will construct a zippered pouch perfect for use as a pencil carrier or makeup bag out of their very own handwoven fabric. Students will learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine, how to measure fabric and apply interfacing, how to insert a lining and install a zipper.
No previous sewing experience is necessary, but students must bring their own sewing machine and zipper foot.
*The guild has 1 sewing machine that would be available for someone to use. Please indicate if you would like to use the Guild sewing machine on the registration form.
Prerequisites for participants:
No sewing experience required.
