Board Chairs Academy - Full Series
Board Chairs Academy is a suite of learning opportunities and consultation services designed to meet nonprofit boards where they are at. Introduced by Third Sector Company in 2006, over 500 organizations have participated in the United States and Canada.
Join us for a complimentary overview and orientation of Board Chairs Academy in February.
Since 2006, Third Sector Company has offered its highly-acclaimed “Board Chairs Academy” based on the philosophical viewpoint that “Governance as Stewardship” is the most accurate depiction of board obligations essential to advancing community causes. Beginning in 2024, the Academy has been modified to welcome our customers to take part in one or more Academy Learning Labs, as well as access customized board training programs and consultations.
A trained faculty of instructors, who have completed and taught many Board Chairs Academies over the years, present the 2.5-hour online experiences to benefit individual board members as well as groups of board members who choose to learn together. Each session offers content delivery, a featured guest board speaker, and group discussion.

Organizations may register as many persons as they wish, and the total fee is determined by how many are enrolled. (Registering more people generates greater savings per person!). If you register as an organization, we'll contact you to coordinate sign-ups of your team's individual participants.
Registration is also available for individual Learning Labs by clicking on specific links below.

Third Sector Company, Inc. is committed to advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion as foundational to its programs.
We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all people; and we pledge our individual and organizational efforts to build respect, dignity, caring, and equitable treatment for all. As an organization, we are committed to transforming the world into one that promotes social justice and freedom from oppression, including but not limited to, racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, ageism, and ableism.
Thus, we aim to be adaptable, actively anti-racist, embracing cultural differences, and to be accessible for people who are differently resourced and differently abled. Since we do not want financial hardship to be a barrier to participation, there are several seats reserved in each of our fee-based programs for confidentially awarded scholarships. We encourage those from historically underserved communities to apply.
