Tech-Facilitated Abuse
Survivors increasingly experience technology-facilitated abuse (TFA) as harm-doers find new ways to use technology to manipulate, stalk, and harass people. From mobile apps to Airtags to social media, join us to learn more about how survivors experience gender-based violence and how to address TFA in a world where technology is part of everyday life. During this training, you will gain foundational knowledge on important key terms on TFA, up-to-date information on the latest scams to look out for, and extensive resources on recognizing signs of TFA, safety planning, evidence collection, and more! Whether you feel like you don't know anything about technology or consider yourself a tech-savvy pro, this training will surely give you something new to consider as we support survivors through TFA.
A Zoom link will be sent in a welcome email the day before the training. CEUs will be given for Social Work and ICDVP.
