Material fee and what it covers: $20 waxed linen, basket clips and handouts, payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Registration opens at 12 Noon: Tuesday, March 5th

Location: Room #3 at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center

Description

Learn to design & create a twined mini basket with waxed linen of various sizes. Students will construct the spoke base and weave in their chosen color palette and craft a basket with mixed decorative stitches including finishing techniques. Basket samples and demonstrations will support handouts that have detailed stitch mechanics. Resources for fashioning baskets of all sizes are also included.

Prerequisites:

No previous experience needed and all materials are provided. See material fee above.

Materials to be provided by/additional instructions for students:

Bring a small scissors for cutting waxed linen, a pencil for taking notes. Plan to twine the
assigned stitches during the week between the class sessions. This homework should take
approximately 8 hours.
