Summer Art Adventures - Animals in the Movies - 9-13
Embark on a whimsical artistic journey as we delve into the enchanting world of beloved movie animals! Get ready to unleash your creativity by crafting vibrant 2D and captivating 3D artworks inspired by iconic characters from Madagascar, 101 Dalmatians, Finding Nemo, and many more movie classics. Artists will not only have a blast bringing these beloved creatures to life but will also explore a diverse range of artistic mediums, including paint, markers, colored pencils, collage, and the exciting realm of mixed media. Join us for a fun exploration of creativity, where the world of movies and art collide in a masterpiece-making adventure!
Summer Art Adventures are filled with fun and creative art projects. We only use the highest quality 2D and 3D mediums to give your child the best art experience. Our art instructors are graduates of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design and have studied abroad at SACI in Florence, Italy.
Our program runs from 9 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday. Please check your child in by 8:55 am. Pick up promptly at 4 pm.
Parking is located in the lot behind the studio and limited parking on Michigan Avenue at the front entrance to the studio.
Artists should bring a nut-free lunch, 2 snacks, and a refillable water bottle with a lid. First and last names should be on all personal belongings. Food may not be shared.
Artists should bring sunblock, sneakers, and sun hats for outside break time, weather permitting.
On the last day of the week parents are invited to the studio at 3 pm for an “art show.” This is a special time for artists to share their work with their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc., and an opportunity for you to speak to our instructors.
We welcome all aspiring artists of all ages and abilities. However, if your child requires additional assistance or needs individualized attention, please call the studio before you register. Thank you.

Exceptional camps and classes! Instructors are always well prepared and organized. Projects are tailored to what is appropriate for the audience and age range, so kids leave feeling proud and accomplished of their work. The summer camp is on my child’s “must do” summer list every year!
This is our favorite camp of the summer! Thank you so much to staff who helped my anxious kid feel comfortable and confident throughout the week.
My daughter (9 y.o.) had a phenomenal time at camp - she is already asking if we can sign up for another session this summer! She made some awesome art projects, and looked forward to going every day.
