Powered Industrial Truck Operator Module 2

Powered Industrial Truck Operator is a blended learning, basic level course consisting of a video module and an instructor-led (ILT) module. This course is the same for both Blood Services and Disaster Cycle Services. The course is required to drive a Powered Industrial Truck for all Red Cross functions.
- Module 1 – BIO05VID011004EHS Powered Industrial Truck Operator is an OSHA-compliant powered industrial truck training using a Red Cross Biomedical contracted video presentation. Participants are required to view the video before attending Module 2.
- Module 2 – BIO05WK011003EHS Powered Industrial Truck Operator is an instructor-led training that uses the Module 1 content to deliver hands-on training, including a powered industrial truck inspection and operator checklist and driving test.
Prerequisites:
- Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview (English WBT 25 mins / Spanish WBT 1.5 hr)
- Logistics: An Overview (ILT / VILT 3 hrs)
To access both Modules:
Learners must enroll in the Powered Industrial Truck Operator curriculum in the American Red Cross EDGE Learning Management System.
- Module 1 is online and will be accessible from the learner’s transcript after registering for the course.
- Module 2 sessions will be scheduled by a regional EDGE administrator.
