PROGRAM SESSION
Nov 4 & 5, Nov 18 & 19, 2026, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm each day (EST)
PROGRAM OUTLINE
REMOTE FACILITATED
- Prior to November 4, the student works at their own pace and at a convenient time (approximately 8 hours) on the online component where participants will learn about Customer Value, 5 Principles of Lean, and 8 wastes, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Value Assessment, 5S and Standardized Work
- November 4 for 6 hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) – Value Stream Mapping
- November 5 for 6 hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) – 5S & Standardized Work
- Prior to November 18, the student works at their own pace, approximately 4-6 hours, on the online component where participants will learn about Visual Management, Problem Solving, and will upload their required homework
- November 18 for 6 hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) – Huddle Board Exercise and the start of the Case Study
- November 19 for 6 hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) – Complete Case Study and Graduation
PRE-REQUISITE(S)
Prior exposure to Lean is a benefit. CME’s Lean 101 (online, in person or learn at your own pace options available) or equivalent training or experience is strongly recommended.
Who Should Attend:
Those seeking an introduction to the philosophy, terminology, and core tools of LEAN thinking. Suitable for everyone in an organization from senior leadership to front-line support staff.
Anyone currently engaged in Lean and continuous improvement efforts and any employee who will participate in these efforts going forward.
Certificates will be given at the end of the session.
