Compass Arts Artful Afternoons: Nature Art
For campers ages 8 - 14 years old
M-F 1pm-4pm, July 8 to July 12, 2024
Led by Caty Therese and Nico McKibble

Find beauty in the world around you! We will use natural and found items to create incredible art! Natural paints, weaving, salt dough, leaf prints, bird feeders, and more - all from the items we gather in and around camp. Spending time outdoors to enjoy our surroundings and appreciate all we can find in nature to create artistic expressions is the focus of the week. Projects include: Pressing items into dough and sculpting hanging decorations; using natural materials to create paint for original designs; gathering pine cones to make bird feeders for our feathered friends; hunting for leaves to press and create prints; using raffia and other natural items to learn the art of weaving. Every day will include activities, games, creativity, and fun!

We offer sliding scale pricing for folks who can't pay full price. To apply for sliding scale pricing use our sliding scale assistance form prior to registering. Please note that for summer camps we are unlikely to be able to accept a sliding scale request for more than one camp per family.
