Spring Series/6 weeks and a BIG SING!

This is an all-voices-welcome singing group. We're singing for the pure experiential joy, healing, and connection that it brings. Whether you are experienced and comfortable singing harmonies or solos or you are brand new to group singing, this group is for you! Even if you only sing in the shower or in the car when no one else is around, you don't think of yourself as "a singer," or you have been told that you "can't sing." ...this group is for you. Try it out and be delighted by the sounds we can make together and the strength you will receive from the songs that we sing!

Check out our website for more info, songs, and to sign up for the newsletter to be informed about future events! https://singingheartharmonies.com

Think of it as an investment in your well-being! And a great deal, at that... 7-15 opportunities to joyfully connect with your life-force energy in community while syncronizing our breath and heart-rate and building immunity! And the songs will likely stay with you and support you throughout your week/life.

*$$ sliding scale wide variation is meant to welcome people of diverse backgrounds and economic access. Notice your positionality and please choose the sweet spot that is both generous & affordable for you.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you are unable to pay the suggested amount and can offer trade, reciprocity is greatly appreciated. Please let me know when you register if you need to make a payment plan or if you want to trade.

Registration!

PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SPOT by registering IN ADVANCE. You can register without fees!

Our Tuesday sings have been approaching capacity. I will save Tuesday space for those who register and pay first. Hopefully there will be room for everyone who wants to come on both days.

Please pay in full by the first SING you attend (unless you are trying us out for the FIRST TIME FREE).

I am happy to receive money through Corsizio, CASH, checks, or Paypal.

*I will add you to my newsletter when you register so that you can be updated in case of cancellations, etc. You may remove yourself from the list at any time. I will send emails out when needed during the series with useful information.

New to Singing Heart?

Welcome!!

Singing Heart Harmonies seeks to create a world in which we listen deeply to those around us, celebrate diversity, trust in our voices and bring them forward on behalf of harmony, justice and peace.

I'm Karly Loveling (she/they), a cis-gendered, white, queer-questioning, mostly able-bodied Community Songleader who is committed to undoing systems of societal oppression and supporting liberation from the inside out, personally and collectively. I welcome folks of all identities and backgrounds to join my offerings and will do my best to cultivate an inclusive and supportive community space for those demographics that have been historically marginalized. I also acknowledge the limitations of my perspective and capacity due to the conditioned lens through which I see the world. I am committed to listening, learning, and unlearning. I hope you'll join me on the path.

You belong! NO AUDITION or SHEET MUSIC ... All songs are taught by EAR!

Do not fear, you CAN learn the words. They will sing themselves to you!

Connection over perfection - the goal is rich and meaningful experience as a group, not musical perfection. If someone sings a wrong note or is off, be kind, this is a "call-out free space." You may ask to hear your part again, supporting your section in clarification. Please do so with humility and tenderness.

I lean toward shorter teaches, polyphonic parts songs, rounds, and pocket songs that you can easily learn, carry, and share.

Arrive early so that we can BEGIN ON TIME TOGETHER!

Eat lightly before we meet. Singing requires space in your diaphragm and outward-facing expressive energy; digestion doesn't help with either.

Be fragrance/perfume-free.

This is primarily an adult group. Children who are quiet and non-disruptive are welcome. I don't expect them to be invisible or silent. I do expect your attention and support in meeting their needs so that the group can focus on singing. People under 15 who will focus and join in are especially welcome and included for FREE.

This will be an in-person, indoor, mask-optional class. Consider it to be full exposure. We will be close to one another, and breathing together deeply. Do not come if you are sick with anything, or might be. You are welcome to attend our Online Sing Mondays, 10:30-11:45 am if/when you are unable to come in person.

Trained Service animals are always welcome. Please let me know what your animal is trained to do.

Emotional Support Animals are not welcome due to many allergies in the group (I wish there was a win/win for all of us).

Please share this with anyone who may benefit from deepening into their voice, and coming together with people for group harmony singing and community building!
