Adult Basic Skills Evening Course #2

Welcome to the Royal Western Yacht Club of Ireland Training Centre.

​Our courses are operated in the safe haven of Kilrush Marina. Our waters are non-tidal and a perfect place to start sailing . Participants must be 16 years or over to take part. Our sailing courses are run in two or three person dinghies or day boats.

This course is suitable for participants who have some sailing experience and would like to build their confidence afloat and develop more complex skills such as coming alongside a pontoon, pick up a mooring and how to recover a man overboard. The course will follow the skills laid out in Irish Sailing's Basic Skills level.

Our instructors are fully qualified by Irish Sailing through the Small Boat Sailing Scheme.

All courses are run in line with Irish Sailing and Sporting Ireland guidelines.
