Deep Creek Fly Fishers - Classes

Join club members on this outing to fish Eastern Sierra waters. We need members to sign up through Corsizio so we can know who is coming. Please leave your cell number so we can contact you during the outing. Once you register here, you will receive email updates as necessary.

You must be a Deep Creek member in good standing to attend. Members are responsible for their own food and lodging. The outing will be loosely based in the Mammoth area. Some members will be camping in the area, and there are many options for hotels. Tuff Campground across from Tom's Place is a good option.

Local guides are anticipating a good hopper season this year, so we should give the upper Owens a try. Have some hopper patterns and a dry fly rod handy, it should be fun. Let's meet at the green church at the intersection of 395 and Benton Crossing Road at 8:00am, Saturday the 29th.

Additional fishing possibilities include the Upper Owens, Hot Creek, Crowly Lake and its feeder streams. By this time higher elevations should be open as well: Rock Creek and Little Lakes Valley, and the Mammoth Lakes Basin. If you subscribe to the fishing reports from Sierra Bright Dot and the Trout Fitter, you can get weekly reports and follow how all these waters are fishing.
