Over the 2 days your will learn how to produce a varied collection of prints onto paper using the photo stencil method of screen printing. Stencils can be drawn onto semi transparent material using a variety of drawing materials or printed in B&W from a Lazer printer from one of your own photos. There will be plenty of ‘hands on printing’ with time to experiment with colour layering of the stencils you have made. You will be using water based acrylic inks you will learn how to mix and test your colours mixing them with screen print medium You will be shown how to use the screen beds and exposure unit. You will be shown a selection of registration techniques. Prior to the course you will be sent screen printing notes and links to screen printing videos. Paper and all materials will be supplied for the course.

The course will cover all areas of screen printing from planning your work to producing an accurate small edition. The course is set out to enable you to start using the screen printing facilities independently. We limit our course numbers to 6 - in order for you to get the most from our tutors and the facilities. The course is designed to suit all levels and different abilities

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. If full payment is not made, you will not be allowed to start the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

Please note

We will not be liable for any childcare, travel or accommodation fees lost due to cancellation by us.
You will need to bring your own lunch as there are no facilities nearby. Please bring an apron, some basic kit like pencils, pens, your tutor should get in touch before the start of your course to let you know if there is anything specific you need to bring.

Cancellation Policy:

The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned. COVID-19 Precautions

Students may be asked to wear masks and gloves.

Presses and shared equipment are wiped after each session with antibacterial cleaner.

Extractor fans will be switched on during courses downstairs.

Students on courses run in the downstairs studio will have access to both the upstairs and downstairs toilets.
