These webinars and key-point videos give additional insights into the modern spoken Tibetan language, as well as concise explanations of each lesson from the textbook The Heart of Tibetan Language Vol. 2. They provide an excellent supplement for your self-study.

Lessons 11-15 and 16-20 of the textbook བོད་སྐད་སྙིང་པོ། The Heart of Tibetan Language Volume 2 focus on topics such verbalizers and nominalizers, the particularities of auxiliaries of probability in Tibetan language, comparative, reported speech, sentence connectors, conditional sentences, and relative clauses.

Detailed Description

Please enjoy your self-study of Lessons 11-15 or 16-20 of the textbook བོད་སྐད་སྙིང་པོ། The Heart of Tibetan Language Vol. 2 with these materials. You may also use them to prepare for the Upper Intermediate (Tib. 202) or Advanced Online Course (Tib. 301).

The key-point videos (one per lesson, 20-55 minutes each) give a concise overview of the new lesson. The setting of the key-point videos are the non-human students discussing the Lessons and Tibetan language points in their SLC (Small Learning Community) meeting. Subtitles with and without translation of the Tibetan language are available.

Engaging webinars (one to four per lesson, approx. 1-2 hours each) explain the main grammar points of the respective Lesson based on interesting questions of the non-human person classmates in a simple and thorough way.

Important side-note

These carefully developed Tibetan language materials serve as a supplement to your main learning journey. As creative and thorough as they are, they can not substitute communication skills and insights into the language that one gains when participating in a Tibetan language course or engaging with a study community. It is because learning a language, especially a spoken one, is a social undertaking, and mastering a language alone is nearly to impossible. That's why we strongly encourage you to enroll into a Tibetan language course or find fellow companions who also study Tibetan language to form a small study group together.
