Bio  Graduated LSUBR in Philosophy, Attended Harvard, U. of Penn, LSUBR.   Over the course of her career, Phyllis has been a visual artist, community activist, writer, and certified macrobiotic practitioner.  Studying macrobiotic cooking and health care practices now for 45 years, awarded several certificates from Al Huang, T. Colin Campbell, Shizuko Yamamoto, Ken Cohen, Dr. Roger Jancke and many others.  In 1999, she was award the WDSU Making a Difference Award.  Taught at People Program for 10 years prior to 2005 flood.
