Watercolor Batik is a process that uses wax as a resist in producing a watercolor painting. The painting is done in layers on rice paper. Wax is used between each layer to preserve the colors applied on the previous layer. The class will introduce the students to the supplies and techniques involved in watercolor batik painting.

The class will be both demonstration and hands-on where the students will produce a small watercolor batik painting.

Students will paint the small daisy painting below (5" x 7")

Class size is limited to 10; class time is two hours.
