FUNDAMENTALS OF WOUND CARE

Course overview

The Fundamentals of Wound Care course has been designed to support healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge regarding normal and abnormal wound healing processes, by applying evidence into practice. Whilst progressing through this module you will learn how to promote good wound healing and avoid, when possible, wound chronicity. A patient centred approach, involving the multidisciplinary team (MDT) is paramount in providing quality wound care and promoting patient’s autonomy, hence the focus of this course being holistic assessment and planning with involvement of all key stakeholders, to provide specialist wound care.

This online course is flexible and can be completed at your own pace at a convenient time for you. It also allows you the opportunity to review any aspect of the course as many times as required.
