Belfast and Beyond Art History Trip
Join my on a jammed pack art history trip to Belfast and beyond! We will visit both permanent and temporary exhibitions in three incredible locations to explore the wealth of art on show. Leaving from Dublin we will have our own bus and driver for the full trip.
Preliminary itinerary:
Meet at the National Gallery at 7:45 am
8 am Bus to Ulster Museum (2 hrs)
10 am Visit Caravaggio Exhibition: A rare chance to see two of the Mattei Family Commission from Caravaggio at the same time!
10:30 am Coffee Break
11:00 am Irish Art Collection: The Ulster Museum has an impressive collection of Irish art from the best known artists from the 19th to 20th centuries.
12:00 pm Bus to Hillsborough Castle (20 mins)
12:30 pm Lunch
1:30 pm Tour of the Hillsborough Art Collection: artworks from the 17th century to the present day including many important royal portraits and history paintings.
3:00 pm Bus to FE McWilliam (16 mins)
3:30 pm Tour of Permanent FE McWilliam Collection: Works by one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century
4:15 pm Tour of Temporary Exhibition of Scottish Women Artists: An exciting and unique opportunity to see a rage of artworks by important women artists.
5:00 pm Bus back to Dublin (2hrs)
Please note: This trip needs a minimum of 10 people, if this number is not reached I will issue a full refund. If you cannot make it you may give your place to a friend, a refund is not possible. Also lunch is not included in the price of the trip.
