Wellbeing in the Workplace - Managing Stress

Session details;
Many people operate within a high degree of stress, and this impacts negatively on physical, emotional and mental health. This workshop provides attendees with techniques to build resilience and manage stressful situations effectively. By utilising the strategies practised in the workshop, participants will develop and build their ability to deal with everyday, and unexpected, stressors that occur at both work and home.
Content and discussion with the program to include:
• Defining stress and stressors.
• Self-assessment of professional and personal stressors.
• The body’s response to stress.
• The sympathetic nervous system versus the parasympathetic nervous system.
• Strategies to decrease cortisol overload and manage the body’s reaction to stress.
• Techniques to manage stress and build long-term resilience.
• Developing a “Self-Care Plan” to build ongoing wellbeing.
