Last chance to come with me to see this soon to finish impressive exhibition which brings together works by some of the greatest 17^th century painters. The theme of the tronie is well presented with a wide range of types to help pin down the definition of this often elusive term. Standing face to face with these works is a fun and fascinating experience, their expressions are often irresistible and the urge to mimic them is strong. During this tour I will place the genre in context as well as telling the fascinating and occasionally weird stories behind many of these paintings and discuss the artists who made them and the historical times that they reflect.
