Ages 6-12: Intro to Astronomy
Learn about our vast universe in a creative and hands-on comprehensive science class! This introduction to astronomy class will acquaint students with very basic astronomy principles along with notable historical people that made an impact on understanding our universe!
Astronomy is a really amazing branch of science that students enjoy learning about because they like to see our world in a different light! Going beyond our tiny planet gives students a chance to reflect on how our universe is so vast and incredible!
This class is the perfect length to keep minds active and engaged! During class, students have time for Q&A and have hands-on projects to work on.
Academic/Skills: basic outline of astronomy principles and vocabulary, independent work on projects and science experiments
Project Examples: star chart, science notebook, and several experiments
Note: all class fees are non-refundable
Snack Break: Students should pack a snack and a leak proof water bottle. There will not be a lunchbreak for this class.
Registration Note: You can choose a partial week on Tuesday/Thursday or a full week, Monday-Friday
