This course considers the strategic role of the English subject leader within the frame of Ofsted’s Telling the Story report (2024). As with all courses led by Rachel Clarke, it includes practical activities and ‘take aways’ for English leaders to transfer into their setting.
In addition to the focussed session on Telling the Story, attendees will also receive updates from a range of professional English teaching organisations to assist them in the leadership of the subject.
Course Outcomes:
• Familiarisation with the content of the Telling the Story report (Ofsted 2024)
• Application of the Telling the Story report into practical approaches for continued improvement in primary English teaching.
• Gain insight into the latest updates from a range of professional English teaching associations.
