All Traditional Paper Charts will no longer be available after 1/1/2025! Many coastal areas of Maine have already been converted as a result of NOAA's comprehensive plan to update all Nautical Charting. This course will review the changes being made and their impacts on Recreational Boaters. Electronic charts will be the only format supported. Navigators will have a new option to create "custom charts", but need to know how to use and access the system. NOAA Custom Charts or "NCC" charts will be based on Electronic Chart data and will be highly customizable.
