Introduction to the Succession Planning Consultant Bootcamp

Join us for an informal presentation about the upcoming Succession Planning Bootcamp and how it can help advance your work as a consultant and fill an essential need in the nonprofit sector. This one-hour session will highlight Third Sector Company's approach to succession planning, introduce you to the elements of the two-day virtual bootcamp, offer an opportunity to meet others who are considering this rewarding work, and provide time for questions.

Learn more about details and features in the Fact Sheet.

The next Succession Planning Consultant Bootcamp will be held on October 7 and 8. We invite you to take advantage of the Early Bird registration now.

Why the need for a Succession Bootcamp? The latest data backs it up:

  • 50% of nonprofit leaders share that they plan to leave their roles within the next five years. Your guidance can empower nonprofits to build resilient structures that ensure continuity and stability.
  • The Leading with Intent Report from 2021 notes that 30% of nonprofit executives surveyed do not have a written succession plan or policy to guide the board when a transition occurs.
  • In 2022 there were 500,000 jobs in the nonprofit sector waiting to be filled leading to challenges in hiring and talent recruitment known as the Great Resignation.

Third Sector Company, Inc. is committed to advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion as foundational to its programs.

We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all people; and we pledge our individual and organizational efforts to build respect, dignity, caring, and equitable treatment for all. As an organization, we are committed to transforming the world into one that promotes social justice and freedom from oppression, including but not limited to, racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, ageism, and ableism.

Thus, we aim to be adaptable, actively anti-racist, embracing cultural differences, and to be accessible for people who are differently resourced and differently abled. Since we do not want financial hardship to be a barrier to participation, there are several seats reserved in each of our fee-based programs for confidentially awarded scholarships. We encourage those from historically underserved communities to apply.
