Developing Somatic Awareness: Mixed Level Handbuilding

A class for Beginners & intermediate

Learn the basics of handbuilding with Sara Hensel!  using handbuilding methods such as pinch, coil, and slab building. Handbuilding offers a freedom that you don’t get on the wheel. This is an eight week course for beginners or students with some experience. Each week will feature a lesson on hand built ceramics, as well as a lesson on the connection between somatic awareness and wellness practices. Each weekly session is three hours, and participants will have access to open studio hours while enrolled in the class. Participants will have the opportunity to fire a few pieces to take home! Each class will have a maximum of seven participants, and each will receive plenty of individualized support.
