FIREFIGHTER - Parkland Basic Wildland Firefighter (Type 2)
Based upon the Alberta Wildfire Firetack Crew Member course, the Parkland Basic Wildland Firefighter (Type 2) course provides the basic training required to function safely and effective as a sustained action wildland firefighter within Parkland County.
Registration Priority:
- Staff Participating on the Parkland County Wildland Firefighting Crew
- Firefighter 1 or NFPA 1001 Level 1 (IFSAC/ProBoard Certified),
- One Year+ Service with Parkland County Fire Services.
2025 Recruits not participating on the Parkland County Wildland Firefighting Crew may be placed on a waiting list depending on course capacity. If additional capacity remains in the course 4 weeks prior to course start, registrations will be converted from wait list to student seats.
