Join ADK for a one-day presentation covering the logistics of touring by bicycle. Topics will include:
- Choosing and equipping a bicycle suited to different riding surfaces
- Different styles of touring and how to carry the gear required for each
- Clothing, safety, lodging (shelter), and dining (cooking) options
- Route planning and navigation
- Shuttle options
This course will also touch upon some basic but important topics such as bike maintenance while on tour. Presenters will also briefly give an overview of some popular routes and resources for touring in the United States.
This course will take place at Cascade Welcome Center. Bring a lunch!
