College Make Night: October 23
Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 9:30 PM the makerspace is open to CMU students to create and connect using the tools, materials, and supplies in the makerspace. A center staff member will be on-site to answer questions, guide participants and offer assistance with tools such as the 3D printer, digital drawing (design and basic animation), sublimation printer, vinyl cutter, and more. Once you have received training on a tool, you will have future access to the tool.
The $5 registration fee covers the three hour block of time in the makerspace. If you would like to earn your time (rather than pay a fee) you can speak to a staff member about offering your "expertise" to others on a tool, app, or skill during your time in the makerspace. If you agree to support others your $5 fee will be waived. Examples of areas that "expert" support may be needed is in designing for the 3D printer, using specific tools, coding, animation, and audio production.
