Everyone, from beginner to advanced, is welcome in this creative painting workshop taught by Chris Peterson, a master of light and color, while working in either acrylic or oil (participant's choice). Students will learn the principles of color as they apply to describing objects in nature. In addition, they will learn basic painting techniques and get some drawing instruction in the process.

What will be provided:

• Enough basic supplies to demonstrate painting and drawing techniques

What supplies should participants bring:

• A selection of paintbrushes
• A selection of paints - acrylics or oils
• A palette
• A solvent (water or turpenoid, depending on paint)
• A canvas or other painting surface
• Reference material (i.e., photos to paint from)
• Paint rags
