The Virginia Community Health Worker Association (VACHWA) aims to improve the health of Virginia communities to help individuals and families lead happier and healthier lives.

Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace, in collaboration with community partners, is working tirelessly to make Virginia healthier. Our involvement is crucial in this collective effort.

As an approved Counselor Designated Organization, VACHWA will:

1. Train Community Health Workers to help consumers find health coverage options through the Virginia Exchange and Virginia Medicaid program.

2. Support consumers with completing an eligibility and enrollment application, a crucial step in gaining access to the health coverage they need.

3. The best part? All these services are absolutely free to consumers, ensuring that anyone can access the help they need without any financial burden.
