In this course, we transition from Introduction to Garments and begin expanding our skills to skirts and pants. We will start with a basic pair of pajama pants where we will learn how to install an elastic waistband and sew hems, and then make a simple skirt with darts, and an invisible zipper. Students will then choose their own beginner sewing pattern for their final skirt or pants project. This class involves significant hands-on sewing and dedicated class attendance to complete all projects.
All materials included with the course - you can choose fabric for your projects from our stash or provide your own. More information will be given during the course.
Prerequisite: completion of Introduction to Garments @ TSL, or previous experience sewing simple garments from patterns.
