Sing with Karly Loveling- Fall 2024
Singing Heart Harmonies seeks to create a world in which we listen deeply to those around us, celebrate diversity, trust in our voices and bring them forward on behalf of harmony, justice and peace. We celebrate singing as a technology of belonging and welcome you as you are.
I'm Karly Loveling (she/they), a songleader and community songwriter in the Ubuntu Choir Network. I have brought songs to gatherings, groups, political rallies, and life transitions for over 20 years. I love bringing harmonies to life! Life is messy and sometimes really hard. Singing makes it better. Through the songs we sing we ground and replenish ourselves in connection with ourselves, our values, and each other. As we sing, we each contribute to something none of us could do on our own and we co-regulate our nervous systems, helping us be more present and available for what is happening in our lives individually and collectively.
This is an all-voices-welcome singing group that values connection over perfection. We're singing for the pure experiential joy, healing, and connection that it brings. Whether you are experienced and comfortable singing harmonies or solos or you are brand new to group singing, this group is for you! Even if you only sing in the shower or in the car when no one else is around, you don't think of yourself as "a singer," or you have been told that you "can't sing," this group is for you. Try it out and be delighted by the sounds we can make together and the strength you will receive from the songs that we sing.
Find and follow me on Instagram and/or Youtube to see examples of our songs.

Please pay in full by the first SING you attend (unless you are trying us out for the FIRST TIME FREE).
I am happy to receive money through Corsizio, CASH, checks, or Paypal or Venmo.
I prefer cash/checks to keep more of the money in our community. Do what works for you.

New to Singing Heart?
Welcome!!
You belong! NO AUDITION or SHEET MUSIC... All songs taught by EAR!
Do not fear, you CAN learn the words. They will sing themselves to you!
Connection over perfection! The goal is a rich and meaningful experience as a group, not musical perfection. If someone sings a "wrong" note or is "off," be kind. This is a "call-out free space." You may ask to hear your part again, supporting your section in clarification. Please do so with humility and tenderness.
I lean toward shorter teaches, polyphonic parts songs, rounds, and pocket songs that you can easily learn, carry, and share.
Please! Arrive on time so we can BEGIN ON TIME TOGETHER!
Eat lightly before we meet. Singing requires space for your diaphragm and outward expressing energy; digestion doesn't help with either.
Be fragrance/perfume-free. This includes essential oils.
This is primarily and adult group. Children who are quiet and non-disruptive are welcome. I don't expect them to be invisible or silent. I do expect your attention and support in meeting their needs so that the group can focus on singing. People under 15 who will focus and join in are especially welcome and included for FREE.
This will be an in-person, indoor, mask-optional class. Consider it to be full exposure. We will be close to one another, breathing together deeply. Do not come if you are sick with anything or might be.
Trained service animals are always welcome. Please let me know what your animal is trained to do.
Emotional support animals are not welcome due to allergies in the group (I wish there was a win/win for all of us).
Please share this with anyone who may benefit from deepening into their voice, and coming together with people for group harmony singing and community building!
