Beginner Crochet - Level 2
This three-part class will build on your crochet skills. In the first class, you’ll learn a new stitch (half double crochet), review different places (under both loops, front/back loop only) where stitches can be worked. The second and third class will two new stitches (double and treble crochet), chain spaces and its uses, and how to join a new colour to your work. We’ll also introduce how to measure a fabric’s gauge and the first steps in finishing – how to block your work.
The class includes practice yarn, and a 5.5 mm Furls crochet hook.
Skill Level: familiar with ch, sc, sc-flo and sc-blo.
Materials Included: enough worsted weight yarn to crochet a square and a Furls hook.
Please bring: removable stitch markers, darning needle and scissors.
Homework: bring a notebook and pen if you want to take additional notes.
Please note the classroom is upstairs (14 steps).
