Wyatt Early Robotics Program - Fall 2024

Friday, 3 - 4 PM CST

Hands-on projects and engaging experiences using the educational robots and VEX Robotics platform.

Early STEM Robotics introduces young students to the fundamentals of STEM, robotics, and coding. Students build and code with the VEX GO robotics platform. Students learn about motors, sensors, and electronics and use them to solve real-world challenges

Students will engage in:

  • Problem-solving: Robotics projects require students to design, build, and program robots to complete specific tasks. This helps students develop critical thinking skills and solve complex problems.
  • Creativity: Students are given the opportunity to create and build their own robots, fostering creativity as they explore different methods to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coding Skills: Robotics involves programming robots to perform tasks independently, teaching students valuable coding skills that are increasingly in demand.
  • Teamwork: Robotics programs are team-based, requiring students to collaborate effectively. This promotes communication and collaboration skills which are essential for success in our technology-driven world.

Students will:

  • Design simple to complex builds with motors, gears, and sensors
  • Learn to program, explore, experiment, and engage in STEM activities
  • Develop logic and problem-solving skills
