VENEPUNCTURE & CANNULATION
This flexible course is part of the Clinical Skills package but can also be completed as a standalone course.
The Venepuncture & Cannulation course will develop your knowledge of the anatomy and physiology in relation to peripheral IV cannulation and venepuncture. It will demonstrate knowledge of the principles and importance of aseptic non touch technique (ANTT), highlight the legal, professional and ethical issues related to peripheral IV cannulation and venepuncture. It will summarise the key aspects of aftercare, including documentation and describe the possible adverse incidences that may occur.
This course can be completed in your own pace and at you own time. It also allows you the opportunity to review any aspect of the course as many times as required. It will take approximately 1.5hrs to complete the course but you will have access to the course for 4 weeks from you register.
