Preschool Prep Transition Group (2.5-4 years) Mondays 9:30-10:30am
Preschool Prep group provides children, 2.5 years old and up, the opportunity to participate in a group that simulates an environment similar to that which they will encounter when leaving Early Intervention and entering a preschool environment.
The group moves quickly through activities and transitions, introducing the children to the tools they will need to be successful in a preschool classroom. These activities include free play, a structured circle/story time, snack, craft and gross motor play. The children are encouraged to gain independence during these activities and transitions throughout the classroom.
Parents will have the opportunity to separate from their children, during group time, for a Q&A session with Amanda Osborne, DS, and Meghan MacLaughlin, DS, to explore opportunities once Early Intervention comes to an end.
Offered in collaboration with Northeast Arc Early Intervention and funded through the Department of Early Education & Care CFCE Grant & Northeast Arc
