Dates & Times for loading, firing, and unloading
1st class Thur Jan 2nd - Meet your teacher, select clay, begin making work
Sunday Jan 19th - All work must be on the bisque shelf in order to be dry in time for bisque firing
Thur Jan 23rd - Glazing for the Firing. Students can glaze ahead of time if their pots have been bisque fired before the glazing night.
You can also bring pre glazed pots to the loading on Friday and Saturday if you don't need to use the studio glazes as long as the glazes are suited for cone 6.
Friday Jan 24th - additional glazing time at the studio 12pm - 4pm
Friday Jan 24th 4pm 6:30pm- Load Kiln - All students must be present to help wad and load their work unless otherwise discussed with the instructor. As much as I would love to fire the converted kilns in our small parking lot I don’t want the neighbors to be too alarmed by the crazy potters. We will fire the kilns at one of our instructors' home studio, about 10 mins from the studio. The address will be emailed to attendees.
Saturday Jan 25th 9am 6pm - Finish loading kilns, Start firing of both kilns.
Sunday Jan 26th 1pm 5pm - Unload kiln - All students must be present to help unload the kiln and clean kiln area unless otherwise discussed with instructor.
