Halloween Costume Clinic
For anyone aged 4 to 94

Are you a parent trying to manifest your kid’s perfect Halloween costume, a teen trying to make your anime cosplay design a reality, or an adult who wants to turn it out for the Compass Arts Night of the Living Dead Dance Party? This costume clinic is for you! Our costume-making experts (sewing superstars Regina Williams and Lauren Donnelly, and award-winning cosplayer Lee Williams) will help you design, customize, and bedazzle your Halloween duds. We can help you transform your old clothes into a costume, or turn store-bought costume pieces into one-of-a-kind creations!

Bring whatever materials you have from home, and we’ll help you embellish and transform them. Not sure what you want to be? We’ll have materials here to make basic masks, capes, and more.

Participants should bring:
- Any clothes or materials from home that could be used for parts of your costume
- Any store-bought costume pieces you’d like to include
- Pictures, if there’s a specific character you’re modeling your costume on

We’ll provide:
- Costume design expertise and guidance from our teaching artists
- Sewing machines, and help using them
- Glue guns
- Upcycled materials (cardboard, fabric, etc) and craft supplies
- Paint, fabric markers, and other art supplies

This costume clinic is open to all ages. Kids under 12 should be accompanied by a parent (free of charge, though please sign up if you’re working on your own costume). Adults and teens are also welcome! Please note that there are two workshop times (1-3pm, Saturday October 5 and 10am-12pm, Sunday October 20); feel free to register for one or both.
