The Comedy Arena Training Center

The Musical Improv program is an exciting opportunity to be cast in a 3-month show run with an option to extend the run. Shows consist of 20-30-minute musical improv sets performed by the Troupe. Each run is also accompanied by a faculty team that hosts the shows and may concludes each show with their own set. This is a free performance opportunity for anyone including, but not limited to, students and recent grads with no fee to audition.

So...are you ready to unleash your inner musical improv performer? No musical experience required!  Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, we welcome you to audition for this Musical Improv House Troupe!

Requirements:

Coached Troupe auditions will take place once per quarter, and ensembles will be cast each term and coached by one of our fantastic faculty members. This Musical Improv Troupe will perform, kicking off the weekly Improv Jam.

Cast sizes may vary but will typically consist of 6-9 performers. Troupes will rehearse at least 1-2 times a month. Selected performers can expect a 3 month commitment with 3 rehearsals and 3 shows in total.

Auditions will be held at The Comedy Arena.

Auditions will consist of both on the spot and group songs. You do not need to prepare anything.

After registering to audition, you might receive a follow-up email leading up to the audition requesting your headshot and resume as well as your availability for rehearsals and performances.
