Digital Photography
COURSE INFO
The second course from our three-part series about photography is about the technical details of a digital camera. Participants will learn how a camera sensor works, what the advantages of shooting in RAW are, how a camera auto-focuses and much more cool stuff. Although the course is quite technical and there is not much ‘hands-on’ work, it is important because other modules and courses build on top of the knowledge the participants get in this course. Everyone who has some basic experience with a digital camera, visited our basic course or simply wants to understand the details should definitely take this course.
Duration: 2 x 2h Language: English
CONTENTS
This course is about the technical details of digital photography:
- light and color temperature
- how a camera sensor works
- differences between RAW & JPG/PNG
- editing RAW images
- auto-focus of a camera
- high-dynamic-range photography
- panorama photography
- settings and options in the menu of a camera
GOAL
The goal is to give an overview over the most relevant technical aspects of digital photography because this is the basis for future courses and modules. The course is quite technical and not really ‘creative’.
PREREQUISITES
The course starts at a low level, but not at ‘zero’. Therefore, participants should be comfortable using their own camera, able to change settings and roughly guess how a picture was taken. Ideally, you already visited the level-I course which covers the topics above.
