For Indigenous peoples, Ribbon Skirts, and Ribbon Shirts, are a symbol of resilience, survival, identity, and represent honour, respect, heritage, pride, and identification with one’s culture + given teaching(s).

Their meaning changes with each person who wears one sharing their identity proudly!

Join Clarissa Stevens, a proud Sioux from Stony Nakoda, in this FREE workshop as she guides you to you create your very own Ribbon Skirt or Ribbon Shirt… while storytelling about her life, and culture.


All Ribbon Skirt fabric, and ribbon materials provided.

If you’re creating a Ribbon Shirt, bring your own shirt, ribbons provided.

Sewing Machine, and Sewing Materials (i.e. Thread, Scissors, etc) provided.

Meal Served. All Free.
