Rooted in Community: Collaborative Mural Painting & Open House

Join us for a day of creativity, community, and craftsmanship at our Rooted in Community event! Community members are invited to contribute to our mural and enjoy an open house at our shop. The mural will celebrate the spirit of our shop: creativity, imagination, community, and collaboration. It will also become our "Founders Tree", a place where we will gratefully honor our generous donors who make our shop a reality.

What to Expect:

  • Mural Painting: Grab a brush and help us create a stunning mural that will adorn our shop’s lobby wall! No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a splash of creativity.
  • Silent Auction: Bid on some amazing, handcrafted local goods - just in time for the holiday season!
  • Open House: Explore our woodworking shop! Take a self-guided tour, learn about membership and classes, and enjoy live woodworking demonstrations.
  • Family Fun: Bring the kids for woodcraft stations where they get to build and take home their own toy!
  • Refreshments: Savor complimentary snacks and drinks as you mingle with fellow community members and artists.

Bring your friends, family, and a sense of adventure! Let’s make art, celebrate our community, and create a lasting piece of beauty together. We can’t wait to see what we’ll create as a team!

About Takeyce Walter:
Takeyce Walter is an award-winning contemporary American painter (Jamaican-born), art instructor, and media producer living and working in upstate New York.
