Sensorimotor-EMDR Consultation Group
This closed consultation group is for clinicians who have completed an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training AND have completed or are current student in Level 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training for Developmental Themes.
We will explore cases through the lenses of the AIP & Janet's phase-oriented approach identifying options for utilizing one model over another, using an integrative approach or shifting between models as themes of trauma and developmental wounding arise during a session. Consultees who are comfortable doing so are welcome to share issues of counter-transference to be explored experientially.
Topics may include:
- When to use the Steps to Mindfulness to identify EMDR Targets
- Recognizing and working with Adaptive Strategies that surface during EMDR Reprocessing phases
- Using RAD, Sensorimotor Sequencing, Probes and Missing Exerperiences as Interweaves
- How to integrate Sensorimotor experiments into EMDR Phase 2 to soften Adaptive Strategies prior to trauma processing
Please note that because we will be focussing on both EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, these meetings cannot be used to fulfill the requirements for EMDR Basic Training or Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 2 Training.
