This course is structured for those who have some experience of riding a manual motorcycle.

A manual motorcycle is one that has a clutch and gears, and so does not include an ATV or automatic scooter.

1 hour training, 30 minute assessment

You should already be familiar with the controls of a motorcycle and be able to ride a motorcycle in a stable and reasonable competent manner. You will receive training that familerises you with the NZTA BHST assessement and the required safety checks. There is little time to teach you to ride a motorcycle however. If you need tuition on how to ride, you will need a New Rider course before attempting this session.

At the conclusion of the training, you will attempt the Basic Handling Skills Assessment.

Use of a motorcycle is included in the cost.
