Marble Dyed Leather Bag Workshop
In this one-day hands-on class, you will learn some of the basics of marbling, and leather craft to create a customer bag!

Together we’ll cut, hand sew and set hardware on your own custom marbled leather bag, in one of two different styles:
  • Either a basic cross-body (approximately 9 x 7") with a full flap or
  • A larger open tote (approximately 11 x 10").

In either case, you'll be able to select and add pockets, hardware and closure of choice, and your own custom strap.

These bags would normally retail for over $275, and you get to enjoy making your own!

The photos shown are to give an idea of the two styles with some of the different customizations you can choose from. We will be marbling the leather for this workshop, and there will be some of Cate's coloured and silkscreened leather available to be included in your projects.



This workshop is open to everyone from beginners to those with leather-craft experience who want to expand on their skills. All materials and tools are provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

The dyes used in class can stain clothing. We recommend wearing items you don't mind staining! We won't be able to provide aprons, so if you would like an apron, please bring one to this workshop.

Do I need my own tools?

We will be supplying all the materials and tools required, but if you have your own leatherworking tools at home that you'd like to use, you are welcome to bring them.

COVID-19 Policy

As the pandemic changes, we are unsure of what our COVID-19 policy will look like at the start of this class. We will closely monitor local numbers and update you prior to the class.

Cancellations

Classes cancelled within 48h of the start date are subject to refunds only if a replacement is found for your signup. Classes cancelled anytime prior to 48h from the start date are subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Classes are subject to cancellations by Workshop in the case of low enrolment.
