Mosaic Madness: November 15, 16, 17

You bring it and we will mosaic it!! This weekend course will teach you all you need to consider when approaching mosaics for a wide range of pieces. Students can bring their own substrates: terra cotta pots, picture frames, light switch covers, large stones, bee baths, an old lamp....(you name it, we can cover it!) I will provide trivet bases, small plaques, and other surprises.

We will work with a variety of adhesives and materials. If you have tools and/or tiles, crockery, beads or glass, bring those as well. We will play with it all and learn what to use and what to avoid. Join us as we immerse ourselves in a weekend of creativity and fellowship.

Schedule as follows:

Friday 11/15 - (4 hours) 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm with optional meet up afterwards at Booneshine Brewery. We will discuss your substrates, choose appropriate adhesives, make plans and begin nipping.

Saturday 11/16 - (4 hrs w/lunch) 10 am - 3 pm - please bring your lunch! We will nip and adhere, rest and repeat. Finished work will be ready to grout.

Sunday 11/17 - (2 hrs +) 2 pm - 4 ish. We will grout and grout. Several colors will be offered and you will go home with at least one or two finished pieces plus a lot of knowledge for future projects.

Note: ending times are when I will close class, you may leave sooner if finished. Also we hope to work outside some so dress appropriately and please wear closed toe shoes.
