4 Week Mixed Level Handbuilding: Hand Built Holiday Gifts ( Thursdays 530-830pm) November 14th-December 12th (No Class November 28th)

For Beginner and Experienced Makers

Welcome to Handheld, Handbuilt! This short and sweet 4-week course will be a container for new and experienced hand builders alike! Whether you’re gearing up for the holiday gifting season or hoping for an introduction to ceramic technique and design, we will focus on pinching and sculpting small objects that fit in the cup of our hands. Think small cups, mugs, bowls and trays, as well as small figurative or animal sculptures, ornaments, and beads. 

From a technical standpoint, we will cover types of pinching, making attachments, making custom texture stamps, developing conceptual underpinnings, and executing glaze plans. 

Each week will consist of instructor demos and personal making time. Students will also have full access to the studio during open hours for the duration of their 4 Week course (6am-2am All Days). 

Shelf space and 25lbs of clay is provided to each student. Tools and other equipment are avaible at the studio for communal use.
