Who Should attend?

Employees who are involved in the operation of mobile elevated working platforms.


Course Content & Aims

This course instructs an operator to prepare and safely operate various types of MEWPs. Option available to complete 3 categories 3a, 3b and Static Boom (1b): Self-propelled booms (outriggers), trailers/push-arounds, vehicle-mounted platforms - Please get in touch to add 3rd category

 Introduction
 Regulations and guidance
 MEWP categories
 Structural parts
 Familiarisation and pre-use inspections
 Safe operating methods and hazards
 Theory test

Assessment & Qualification

Individual written test with explanation of pass requirements. Failure means the applicant will have to re-sit the course on another day.
Successful candidates will receive an IPAF PAL card and certificate.
Delegates must bring their own PPE to the training session ie safety footwear, hard hat and hi-vis vest/jacket.
