North Wales Spring 2025

Easter is late in 2025, but if you are thinking of getting away for a long weekend walking before then, why not join us for a spring long weekend in southern Snowdonia, when the days are longer and (hopefully!) the weather will be warmer.

We have booked part of the Bryn-y-Groes conference centre (see https://www.emw.org.uk/about/bryn-y-groes-conference-centre/) for the Thursday-Saturday nights. The centre is just outside the small town of Bala, and will give us opportunities to walk on some of the less popular hills in southern Snowdonia.

The accommodation is in shared rooms (2 or 3 people), with duvets, pillows, and towels provided. We will be self-catering for breakfasts and packed lunches, but Ann will be organising group meals (at modest additional cost) for the Friday and Saturday evenings.

We plan to have a choice of two walks (one moderate and one hard) on both the Friday and the Saturday, provided that enough people and walk leaders come. The choice of walks may depend on the weather and on conditions both underfoot and overhead. On Sunday we will have one shorter walk.
