Enhancing Learning

In this workshop Kendra will introduce the approach we use at Enhancing Learning to support a child’s development of skills and their self-regulation. The Enhancing Learning Framework is based on the neuroscience of emotions, regulation and learning in a comprehensive package of information and techniques.

By the end of this workshop you will understand the five core elements everybody needs to have in place to learn and how to assess children you work with to understand how these five elements are interacting to impact on the child's developing system.

The Enhancing Learning approach has been used by the team at EL for the past five years and by Kendra for over seven years with positive outcomes for families and their children. Case studies will be included on the day to highlight the positive impact of this non-compliance-based, child led and diversity affirming approach.

This workshop will allow teachers, education assistants and daycare educators to explore the theoretical constructs of the Enhancing Learning Framework and allow for deep exploration and practice of the EL techniques to nurture a child's capacity to make their natural progress with their development and learning.
